Student Awards

SAFN offers four awards for undergraduate and graduate student SAFN members. Our application deadline is March 31, 2024. Through our membership dues, we support young scholars and their research so that food anthropology can continue to be a strong area of study.

• 2023 Christine Wilson Graduate Research Award goes to Amanda Kaminsky (University of Michigan)
• 2023 Thomas Marchione Food as a Human Right award goes to Erica Zurawski (University of California, Santa Cruz)

2024 AAA Meeting in Tampa Plans

SAFN is planning a full schedule for the meeting, including:
